Abstract

Burnout experienced by teachers at SMK 1 Kaidipan is an issue that requires attention. This study aims to investigate the role of pastoral counseling in addressing burnout among educators. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques involving interviews and observations of the teachers. The findings indicate that pastoral counseling is highly effective in providing emotional and spiritual support, helping teachers rediscover meaning in their work, reducing stress, and enhancing psychological well-being. Additionally, social support from colleagues and the institution also contributes to the teachers' recovery process. The results of this study recommend the implementation of pastoral counseling programs as a preventive and rehabilitative measure to improve mental health and the quality of education at SMK 1 Kaidipan.
