SOROTAN KONSEP EKKLESIA: Analisis Praktis Fleksibilitas dan Inklusivitas Struktur Pemerintahan di GSPDI Filadelfia Immanuel Kawangkoan

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the concept of ekklesia at GSPDI Filadelfia Immanuel Kawangkoan Church and to provide recommendations for enhancing the understanding and practice of gatherings within church life. Understanding the application of the concept of ekklesia and evaluating the effectiveness of the church's governance structure in fostering fellowship, testimony, and service among its members are the key benefits of this research. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, involving direct observation, interviews with church leaders and members, and literature reviews from various national and international sources. The findings reveal that this church integrates various church governance models with an inclusive and participatory approach. Emphasis on fellowship (koinonia), testimony (marturia), and service (diakonia) is evident in the church’s routine activities and services, involving all members without gender-based restrictions. The study suggests that other churches can learn from the flexibility and inclusivity practiced at GSPDI Filadelfia Immanuel Kawangkoan to enhance member engagement and service effectiveness.
